The Right Of Way

Before I arrived here, I told myself: "Self! There is no way you are going to be brave enough to walk on this trestle. That would be stupid and foolhardy!" But seeing that there were vehicle tracks and human footprints atop the trestle, I decided it would be safe to walk across, but that comes a little later in the story.
